Location: Avonmouth, Bristol

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday with some weekends, moving to 4 on 4 off

Salary: Circa £35,000 – negotiable depending on experience

We are seeking an experienced Transport Operator to join our established, market‑leading, nationwide logistics business. The role offers long‑term career prospects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deal with multiple drivers
• Plan routes
• Communicate with customers and external depots
• Book delivery and collection slots
• Use a transport system to record driver and load information
• Liaise with drivers, monitor actual and expected arrival times, and update stakeholders on delays
• Reroute jobs as required
• Verify that all PODs match the correct jobs in the system

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Transport Operator
• Planning experience
• Confident and clear communication skills – written and verbal
• Excellent UK geographical knowledge
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Quick and efficient problem‑solving skills
• Organised at all times
• Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
