Excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer / Section Engineer to join an excellent Main contractor working on civils and water projects in the Southampton areanMy client will consider canddiates with a background in civils or M & En* NOTE : There is also an option for a night shift site engineer. On application please inform if you are open to the night shift optionnThese are long term career opportunities where you will be supported and encouraged to progress within the companynWorking as part of the site management team, you will liaise with planners, subcontractors, supervisors and surveyors.nResponsibilities of the Site Engineer / Section Engineern * Implementation and ensuring compliance to Safe systems of work in line with SHE Proceduresn * Carrying out site inductionsn * Contributing to site collaborative planning and supporting the site agent in development of the project look-ahead programme, identifying change and risksn * Support the promotion of SHE initiatives and actively promote the recording of hazards and observationsn * Identifying material requirements in line with the programme, highlighting requirements in a timely mannern * Ensure the temporary works process is followedn * Work with the client to support their needs and facilitate the effective delivery of the works on siten * Ensure that you feed in to the weekly/monthly programme for your section of works and record site activity effectivelyn * Ensure that site diaries are completed daily by your team for your section of worksnIdeal Knowledge, Skills, and Experience of the Site Engineer / Section Engineern * HNC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering disciplinen * Understanding of Engineering Principlesn * Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practicesn * Relevant CSCS Cardn * Experience in working on water projectsn * meica construction experiencenIdeal Qualifications of the Site Engineer / Section Engineern * SMSTSn * Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineeringn * Appointed Person, lifting training is an advantagenThis is a great opportunity for the right engineer offering a highly competitive salary package and excellent long term career opportunity with a very good employernApply now
