Protec Fire and Security Group, a Bosch Company, have an opportunity for a Fire Alarm and Security Systems Project Manager in the Birmingham area.nnPurpose of the post / Job descriptionnnTo work on the project engineering and management of new Fire Detection and Security installations. With a sound knowledge of past and present Fire Detection and Security systems you will ensure efficient delivery and installation of new projects and upgrades to existing systems.nnResponsibilitiesnn1. To handle projects from initial enquiry through to final accounts.nn2.
Undertake financial control of projects, delivering the works efficiently and profitably.nn3. To effectively manage the installation works on site whilst liaising with clients and other departments.nn4. Prepare detailed work programs to ensure all labour and deadline requirements are met.nn5.
Liaise with manufacturing, design and other relevant departments to ensure timely delivery.nn6. To negotiate contract variations and agree works where required.nn7. To highlight possible problem areas and obtain commercial contractual advice and ensure contract documentation drawings are correctly designed.nn8.
Any other duties commensurate with your position.nnQualificationsnnA Levels or equivalent qualificationsnnExperiencennExperience within a similar role managing complete projects from tender to commissionnnWorking knowledge of current British StandardsnnKnowledge of Fire Detection and associated equipmentnnSkills/AbilitiesnnAbility to efficiently manage project deliverynnAn excellent eye for detailnnExcellent oral and written communication skillsnnExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levelsnnAbility to source and purchase materialsnnCapable of managing labour resourcesnnAbility to liaise and coordinate works with clientsnnGood financial management skillsnnProficient using Microsoft computer packages including Excel, Word, and OutlooknnOthernnEnthusiasm and willingness to learnnnFlexible in approach to working hoursnnA full and valid driving license
