Commissioning Engineer – Energy Monitoring & BMS IntegrationnnLocation: Sussex (London & South East travel)n Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + overtime + bonus + benefitsnnThe Opportunity:nnWe're looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist energy monitoring business delivering high-quality metering and data solutions. This is a field-based role with varied site work across London and the South East (occasional UK wide travel), working with major system integrators, OEMs and modern technologies.nnYou'll be part of a stable, employee-owned company that prioritises technical development, training, and long-term career growth.nnKey Responsibilities:nnCommission and configure energy monitoring systems and in-house products on-sitenIntegrate systems with Building Management Systems (BMS)nInstall and configure utility meters (electricity, heat, water, gas)nWork with protocols including Modbus, M-Bus, and BACnetnSet up and troubleshoot IP-based network infrastructurenEnsure accurate data capture for monitoring and billing platformsnDiagnose and resolve integration and communication faultsnProduce commissioning reports and technical documentationnnSkills & Experience:nnExperience with BMS, building controls, or system integrationnKnowledge of metering systems and data loggingnExperience with Modbus, M-Bus, and BACnet protocolsnStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsnBasic networking knowledge (IP, routers, switches)nElectrical or controls engineering backgroundnStrong communication skills with client-facing experiencenIT literatenFull UK driving licencenWillingness to travelnnBenefits:nnCompany vehiclenOvertime paid at 1.5x standard raten£3,600 annual employee ownership bonus (performance dependent)nCompany pensionn25 days holiday + bank holidaysnLaptop and mobile phonenPPE and workwear providednTravel expenses coverednOngoing training and development (including Trend training)nnWhy Join:nnThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, specialist business in the energy monitoring sector.
