A global engineering group is investing heavily in large-scale plant improvements and the implementation of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies. As Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in integrating new technologies and upgrading legacy control systems across multiple sites. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in emerging technologies and a solid foundation in control systems engineering, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Python.nnThe RolennImprove and optimise equipment uptime, reliability, and efficiency.nnImprove processes, programs and procedures.nnDevelop self-sustainable trouble-shooting support systems for various machines control system.nnAssist in upgrading legacy control systems as and when required.nnDeveloping new strategies to monitor machines digitally and to optimise them.nnAssist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.nnProvide technical expertise to plant personnel including the maintenance team.nnMonitor the effectiveness of newly implemented projects.nnThe PersonnnElectrical Engineering Degree with hands on experience of Siemens S7 and/or Allen Bradley PLC’s.nnHands on experience as an electrical/control systems engineer.nnExperience with high-level programming languages such as Python.nnDemonstrated ability to use root cause analysis/problem solving process.nnGood organizational and communication skills.nnDemonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities.nnDemonstrated track record in driving continuous improvement
