Senior Data EngineernLondon, Hybrid, 3 days in the office each week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)n£70,000 to 80,000 depending on experiencenRef: J13073nnA growing AI SaaS business, where data sits at the centre of everything they build, is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of the pipelines that power their platform.nThis is an opportunity to work with real world, complex data and turn it into reliable, decision ready datasets used across product, analytics and machine learning.nPython and SQL sit at the heart of the role.nnThe Opportunityn·You will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines that support a fast moving AI platform. You will work closely with product, analytics and machine learning teams to ensure data is accurate, accessible and trusted.n·The business works with large volumes of imperfect and inconsistent data, so you will need to be comfortable handling edge cases, improving data quality and solving complex data challenges.n·The environment is modern and cloud based, with exposure to technologies such as Spark, Snowflake and BigQuery across AWS, GCP and Azure.n·You will also have the opportunity to support and mentor other engineers through collaboration, code reviews and sharing best practice.n·The team is supportive, highly collaborative and values different perspectives. n·Engineers are given the space to contribute ideas, challenge thinking and have a genuine impact on the direction of the platform.nnKey Responsibilitiesn·Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelinesn·Own data pipelines from source through to productionn·Work with messy, incomplete and complex datasets to create clean, reliable outputsn·Improve data quality, performance and reliability as the platform scalesn·Collaborate closely with product, analytics and machine learning teamsn·Contribute to code reviews, engineering standards and best practicen·Support and mentor other engineers within the teamnnWhat We Are Looking Forn·Strong Python and SQL expertise gained within large scale production environmentsn·Experience delivering complex data transformation projects end to endn·Experience with Spark, Snowflake, BigQuery or similar technologiesn·Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, GCP or Azuren·Comfortable working with large, messy and evolving datasetsn·Experience taking ownership of pipelines and data engineering solutions from design through to deploymentn·A collaborative approach with experience mentoring or supporting other engineersnnIf you enjoy building the data foundations behind AI products and want to join a business where you can have real impact, this could be an excellent fit.nTo find out more, please get in touch.nnPlease note that applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
