Our client, a dedicated organisation in Oxford, is hiring for a Support Worker to join a compassionate team committed to transforming lives and creating lasting change for individuals experiencing homelessness.nnWhat you'll be doing:n* Supporting individuals with complex needs, including mental health, physical health, and substance misuse issues.n* Assessing and managing risks to ensure safety and well-being.n* Delivering high-quality care, support, and housing management in line with organisational policies.n* Working collaboratively with partner agencies to provide holistic, tailored support.n* Developing and implementing client-centred support and risk management plans, aiming for suitable move-on options within six weeks.n* Building positive relationships, motivating progress, and encouraging recovery.n* Managing challenging situations effectively, ensuring safety, and reporting safeguarding concerns.n* Maintaining accurate case records, updating IT systems, and producing reports.n* Participating in rota shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to ensure continuous support.n* Assisting clients with housing benefit claims and tenancy-related administrative tasks.nnWhat you'll bring:n* Understanding of the needs of homeless people and experience working face-to-face support.n* Experience supporting individuals with complex needs.n* Knowledge of trauma-informed care and move-on options.n* Excellent communication skills, adaptable to diverse clients and stakeholders.n* Strong decision-making skills and the ability to respond effectively in challenging situations.n* IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database management.n* Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive attitude.n* Relevant qualifications or certifications in health, social care, or related fields are desirable.n* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity.nnIf you're eager to support vulnerable individuals and be part of a community making a real difference, apply today!
