Quantity SurveyornnLocation: East London (Site / Project Based)nMultiple Roles AvailablennWe’re working with a well‑established UK specialist contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting the delivery of major construction and engineering projects.nnThis contractor operates across technically complex and highly regulated environments and has a strong pipeline of work. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their commercial capability with experienced and driven Quantity Surveyors.nnThe RolennYou’ll be responsible for the commercial management of projects from handover through to final account, working closely with project and operational teams to ensure strong cost control, contract administration and commercial performance.nnThis is a hands‑on role offering exposure to challenging projects and the opportunity to progress within a structured commercial team.nnKey ResponsibilitiesnnManage commercial delivery of projects from initial handover to final accountnCarry out site visits, assess progress, value variations and prepare accurate commercial reportsnManage contractual and commercial duties including valuations, payments, negotiations and settlementsnProcure and manage subcontract packages, maintaining accurate commercial recordsnProvide commercial input into estimating and support elements of tenders and bid activitynMaintain risk registers and support collaborative problem‑solving across teamsnSupport, mentor and develop Assistant / Trainee Quantity SurveyorsnEnsure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company standardsnnAbout YounnPrevious experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within constructionnStrong understanding of commercial and contractual principlesnRelevant qualification (HNC / HND / Degree) or equivalent industry experiencenExperience managing valuations, variations, claims and financial reportingnBackground within complex construction environments (e.g. structural, civils, M&E, specialist works, rail or infrastructure)nStrong analytical, numerical and communication skillsnWell organised, commercially aware and able to manage workload effectivelynConfident using MS Office and commercial reporting toolsnnWhat’s on OffernnOpportunity to work on technically challenging, high‑profile projectsnLong‑term career progression within a growing commercial teamnCompetitive salary and benefits packagenSupportive project and commercial leadershipIf you’re a Quantity Surveyor based in or around East London and looking for a role that offers challenge, stability and progression, we’d be keen to have a confidential conversation.nnINDP
