Our client is a leading nationwide multidisciplinary commercial and retail fit-out construction company. With an expanding portfolio of exciting works for 2025/26 and beyond, they’re seeking a dynamic and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their close-knit team and drive the successful delivery of our projects.nnThis role is ideally suited to someone with Tier 2/3 design and build principal contractor experience within the commercial and retail fit-out sectornnKey Duties & Responsibilitiesnn * Establishing client requirements and undertake feasibility studies to ensure their proposals will worknn * Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour, and timenn * Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the clientnn * Negotiate contracts and work schedulesnn * Allocate work to subcontractors and oversee their work at all stages of the constructionnn * Perform risk, value management and cost control during constructionnn * Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project worknn * Manage/ Supervise junior and intermediate surveyorsnn * Advise on a procurement strategynn * Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risksnn * Provide advice on contractual claims and disputesnn * Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reportsnn * Value completed work, oversee bills, and arrange paymentsnn * Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current usenn * Understand the implications of health and safety regulationsnnQualificationsnn * Experience & Education: Quantity Surveying degree (2:1 or higher) or 4+ years of experience in a similar role.nn * Commercial Fit-Out and/or Main Contracting experiencenn * Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction disciplines and health and safety regulations. Ideally Commercial and Retail Fit-Outnn * Skills: Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.nn * Attributes: Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism.nn * Essential: Full UK driving licencenn * Full eligibility to work in the UK
