Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join our team on a large-scale residential project in Hemel Hempstead. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that construction works are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with project specifications and programme requirements.nnKey Responsibilities:nn * Setting out and surveying the site in accordance with design drawings and specificationsnn * Interpreting technical drawings and ensuring works are carried out to the correct standardsnn * Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams to coordinate worksnn * Managing and resolving technical queries and discrepanciesnn * Monitoring quality control and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and project requirementsnn * Overseeing groundworks, drainage, and structural elements of the buildnn * Maintaining accurate site records, including as-built drawings and reportsnn * Conducting regular site inspections to ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are metnn * Supporting the delivery of the project to agreed timelines and budgetnnRequirements:nn * Proven experience as a Site Engineer, preferably on residential developmentsnn * Strong understanding of construction methods, setting out, and surveying equipmentnn * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsnn * Good communication and organisational skillsnn * Knowledge of health and safety regulations within constructionnn * Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering or related field)
