An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Electrical Engineer to take ownership of the electrical scope across multiple major water frameworks. This role will suit an experienced engineer capable of leading technical delivery, managing teams, and ensuring high-quality engineering outputs across all design and delivery stages.nnYou will play a key role in driving engineering excellence, coordinating multi-disciplinary interfaces, and supporting project teams across a range of UK water infrastructure schemes.nnThis is a long term contract, outside ir35. nnKey ResponsibilitiesnnLead delivery of the electrical engineering scope across multiple projectsnManage schedules, MDRs, change control, reporting, and technical coordinationnDelegate and oversee work packages within the electrical teamnSupport estimating activities including CTR developmentnProvide technical leadership across all deliverables, including:nnBasis of DesignnPower systems, earthing, lightning, load & cable calculationsnEquipment sizing, specifications, SLDs, schematics, cable schedules, MTOs and layoutsnnPrepare requisitions for HV/LV equipment (switchgear, transformers, motors, UPS, lighting, etc.)nReview supplier quotations and complete technical bid assessmentsnDevelop installation scopes of worknEnsure compliance with UK/international standards, legislation, and client requirementsnLiaise with DNOs and external stakeholdersnSupport HV modelling and protection studiesnManage equipment obsolescence and lifecycle planningnProvide site-based technical support for operational issuesnnQualificationsnnDegree in Electrical / Electronic / Control Engineering (or equivalent)nChartered or Incorporated Engineer (or working towards)nnTechnical ExperiencennStrong knowledge of UK standards and legislationnExperience in regulated environments, including explosive atmospheresnKnowledge of CE marking requirements (ATEX, PED, LV Directive, Machinery Directive, EMC compliance)nStrong understanding of HSE and risk management principlesnOnly those with proof of right to work in the UK should apply for this role. nnPlease reach out for more information
