Zest Education partners with an excellent special needs school in Maidenhead, which is looking to recruit several special needs teaching assistants due to expansion. This school are growing rapidly, opening new classrooms and recruiting staff to start ASAP, with notice, or September 2026.nnThis is a special needs school catering for students aged 2 to 19 with a variety of special educational needs. Ranging from ASD, to SEMH, PMLD and other needs.nn(Autism, Social Emotional Mental Health, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, Physical disabilites etc)nnWe are looking for candidates to join the school on a permanent, full-time basis.nnWho will be considered?nn * Experienced Teaching Assistants with a background in special needs or mainstream schoolsnn * Those with relevant experience, such as coaching or holiday campsnn * Care or support workers with transferable skillsnn * Graduates who are keen to embark on a rewarding career with special needsnnDay-to-day responsibilities:nn * You will be working with a wide variety of students and age groupsnn * Our client will look to place you with students who match your previous experiencenn * Supporting students in class, around school, both academically and sociallynn * A chance to work with a variety of special needs, this school does not specialise in one area so you'll have the chance to build invaluable experience across special educational needsnn * Personal care, including feeding, changing, is a possibility depending on the student you are working with, so our client asks for those who are happy to assist – full training providednnWorking Hours: (term time only) school holidays off:nn * Monday & Tuesday:n 08:45–16:30nn * Wednesday–Friday:n 08:45–15:15nnWhat’s in it for you?nn * Permanent contract, including paid school holidays for several weeks per yearnn * Full accredited training on personal care, team teach, and other special needs related areas to ensure you are well supported and knowledgeable to best support studentsnn * Excellent working environment, spacious grounds, on-site parking, a chance to work in a school where people are valued and supportednnIf you are passionate or interested in supporting special needs children, please get in touch
