Junior Mechanical EstimatornnLocation: East Sussex / South EastnSalary: £30,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)nType: PermanentnnA growing M&E Building Services contractor is looking to recruit a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their expanding commercial team.nnThis is a great opportunity for someone early in their estimating career or someone from a mechanical building services background (plumbing, HVAC, mechanical project support etc.) who is looking to move into estimating.nnYou will be working closely with senior estimators and project teams, supporting the preparation of tenders across a range of mechanical building services projects.nnResponsibilitiesnn * Assisting with the preparation of mechanical estimates and tendersnn * Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentationnn * Take-offs and quantifying mechanical works (HVAC, plumbing, pipework etc.)nn * Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractorsnn * Supporting cost planning and bid submissionsnn * Working with project and design teams to understand project scopennRequirementsnn * Some experience within mechanical building services (estimating, projects, design or installation)nn * Understanding of HVAC, plumbing or mechanical packagesnn * Ability to read and interpret construction drawingsnn * Good numerical and organisational skillsnn * Strong communication skills and willingness to learnnnThe OpportunitynnThis role offers excellent long-term progression into a fully-fledged Mechanical Estimator, working with an established contractor delivering commercial building services projects.nnTraining and development will be provided for the right individual who is keen to build a career within estimating
