Procurement Managern Location: Birmingham / Hybridn Salary: £47,000 – £55,200 + Benefitsnn A leading Government organisation is seeking a Procurement Manager to join the team delivering one of Europe’s largest infrastructure programmes. You will provide expert, best-practice procurement advice across a range of complex categories, ensuring all assigned projects are delivered to completion using your specialist expertise.n Working closely with the Senior Procurement Category Manager, you will support the development of strategic and long-term procurement plans, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and represent best-in-class practice.
You will manage stakeholder expectations, monitor day-to-day requirements, and help resolve critical issues across multiple workstreams.nn Key ResponsibilitiesnnDeliver end-to-end procurement activities across complex and high-value projectsnSupport the development and implementation of category strategies and procurement plansnProvide expert advice on procurement best practice and commercial approachesnManage multiple workstreams across business-critical areas at varying stagesnBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and government partnersnSupport market engagement and testing to identify optimal service delivery solutionsnPrepare and review tender documentation, commercial models, and category plansnProduce high-quality reports, commercial analysis, and presentations for senior stakeholdersnLead or support negotiations to deliver best value outcomesnKey RequirementsnnProven ability to manage multiple procurement workstreams simultaneouslynStrong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence at senior levelsnExperience supporting market testing and sourcing strategiesnSkilled in developing tender documentation, category strategies, and commercial frameworksnExcellent report writing, analytical, presentation, and negotiation skillsnStrong communication skills with the ability to engage across all levelsnKnowledge & ExperiencennKnowledge of Public Procurement RegulationsnExperience working within or alongside publicly funded organisations or central government departmentsnExperience delivering procurements using a range of pricing and risk modelsnProven track record of managing supplier relationships and delivering valuenExperience procuring large, complex, and high-value contractsnDemonstrable success in achieving savings and efficiencies through effective category management
