Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant nLocation: Leeds, West Yorkshire nStart Date: ASAP nContract Type: Full-time, Long-term nSalary: GBP90 – GBP110 per day (dependent on experience) nWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm nAbout the School: nWe are partnering with an outstanding special needs school in Leeds that supports students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special educational needs (SEN). The school fosters an inclusive, nurturing environment where students can thrive academically and socially. nRole Overview: nAs an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will support students with autism in their learning, social, and emotional development.
You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide 1:1 and small group support, following Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure students receive personalized care. nKey Responsibilities: n· Provide 1:1 and group support for students with ASD. n· Assist with personalized learning plans based on students' EHCPs.
n· Help students develop social, emotional, and behavioral skills. n· Promote an inclusive classroom environment in collaboration with the SENCO. nWhat Were Looking For: n· Experience supporting students with ASD or SEN (preferably in an educational setting).
n· Compassionate, patient, and adaptable. n· A genuine passion for helping children overcome learning barriers. n· A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
nRequirements: n· Right to work in the UK. n· Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one. n· Two professional child-related references.
