Senior Residential Care Worker - Children's

We’re recruiting an experienced Senior Residential Care Worker to join our client's well‑established children’s residential home supporting young people with learning disabilities and additional needs.

The Role

As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you’ll play a key role in:

• Providing safe, nurturing and consistent care to children aged 7–17
• Acting as a strong role model within the staff team
• Supporting day‑to‑day routines, emotional wellbeing and development
• Leading shifts and supporting less experienced team members
• Contributing to care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding practice
• Building positive, trusting relationships with young people

Essential Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)

Minimum 1 year’s experience in children’s residential childcare

Confidence working within safeguarding frameworks

A calm, consistent and child‑centred approach

Desirable

Experience supporting children with learning disabilities

Experience as a senior or shift‑leading residential care worker
