Job Description Children’s Residential Support Worker Pay: £12.86-£13.50 per hour plus £30 per sleep in At Cambian, you’re not just working – you’re shaping futures, furthermore as a Residential Support Worker, based within the Manchester region, every moment you spend with our young people (ages 8–18) helps them feel safe, valued and supported. a shared laugh over a board game or encouragement during a tough moment – these small interactions build trust and shape lives. As a Residential Support Worker you will support young people with their daily routines; Getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities. Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping. Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects. Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care. We are a dual home based in North Manchester, with easy transport links to Manchester City Centre, Middleton and Oldham. The home has three bedrooms, two of which are bedrooms for the young people and one for the staff who are on shift, all located on the 1st first, there is an office and another staff sleep room on the ground floor. The home has been newly decorated and also have their own pet tortoise’s in the home who are cared for by the team and the young people. The home has two residents at the moment who have lived in the property for over two years and are very settled. The team work together in an empathetic and caring way in order to support the young people in our care to make the right choices and to ensure they have the tools to be integrated back in to society effectively. The team use professional curiosity in the home and are very understanding of the young people we currently have in placement and their risks and needs.
