Head of Contracts
Nottingham (1–2 days onsite)
£85,000 – £105,000 + £6,600 car allowance + 15% bonus
We’re partnering with a growing, technology-led organisation to appoint a Head of Contracts & Risk. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping and embedding a best-in-class contracts and risk management function across the business.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, you’ll lead all aspects of commercial contracting and risk governance, ensuring agreements support growth while protecting the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the full contract lifecycle – drafting, negotiation, approval, and renewals
- Leading complex commercial negotiations across SaaS, software, and B2B agreements
- Embedding robust risk management frameworks and maintaining a group-wide risk register
- Partnering with Finance and leadership to align contractual, financial, and operational risk
- Overseeing supplier and third-party management, including performance and compliance
- Driving process improvements, contract standardisation, and lifecycle automation
- Promoting a strong risk-aware culture across the organisation
About You
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and management within SaaS, tech, or B2B environments
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk and opportunity
- Experience managing suppliers and complex stakeholder environments
- Confident influencing senior stakeholders and operating at leadership level
- Highly organised, analytical, and solutions-focused
- Legal background or qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
