The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to take the lead in a children’s residential home supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

This is a pivotal leadership appointment with full responsibility for the service, offering the chance to raise standards, develop a strong team culture, and create meaningful, lasting outcomes for young people.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Take ownership of the daily operations of the home
  • Lead, coach and motivate a committed care team
  • Build a safe, stable and supportive environment for young people
  • Promote a culture focused on accountability, consistency and progress

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure the home remains fully compliant with Ofsted regulations and quality standards
  • Oversee safeguarding procedures, risk management and incident reporting
  • Maintain robust care plans, assessments and all key documentation
  • Lead on inspections and drive continuous service improvement

Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee recruitment, rota planning and staffing structure
  • Conduct supervisions, appraisals and staff development reviews
  • Manage budgets, occupancy levels and overall operational performance
  • Work closely with senior leaders to support growth and strategic plans

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop effective relationships with Local Authorities, Ofsted and external professionals
  • Act as a strong ambassador for the home and uphold its reputation
  • Ensure clear and professional communication with families and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential setting
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and inspection requirements
  • Experience supporting young people with SEMH and complex needs
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management or working towards it
  • A confident leader with a track record of improving standards and outcomes
