We are seeking an experienced Head of Talent to lead the strategy and operational delivery of recruitment across a UK‑based, regulated financial services organisation. This is a senior leadership role for a proven talent professional who brings a strong player‑coach mindset and is comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed environment.


You will shape and deliver a modern, data‑led recruitment function that supports business growth, employer brand ambitions and Belonging, Inclusion and Diversity commitments, while ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring leaders.


Role Requirements:

  • Own the recruitment strategy and operational delivery across the organisation, from early careers through to senior and executive hiring
  • Lead, develop and coach a lean UK Talent team, with oversight of offshore recruitment coordination teams.
  • Maintain a small portfolio of (Senior) roles, delivering end‑to‑end recruitment personally
  • Oversee third‑party and RPO delivery, including management of an onsite RPO solution and strategic partnerships with search firms and agencies
  • Execute the organisation’s EVP, proactively attracting high‑quality and diverse talent through multiple sourcing channels
  • Enable and promote internal mobility, supporting career conversations and redeployment where required
  • Provide clear recruitment insight, market intelligence and reporting to inform hiring decisions
  • Partner closely with P&O, Global Mobility, Reward and People Operations to ensure seamless recruitment and onboarding
  • Develop leadership capability through high‑quality assessment, interviewer coaching and hiring governance
  • Drive cost efficiencies, reducing external dependency while maintaining quality of hire
  • Embed inclusive hiring practices and support wider Belonging, Inclusion and Diversity objectives
  • Manage and maintain appropriate risk, controls and governance within the recruitment function


Experience Required:

  • Proven experience designing and delivering recruitment strategies in complex, matrixed organisations
  • Strong people leadership experience, ideally across remote and offshore teams
  • Demonstrable experience managing RPO and third‑party recruitment partners
  • Solid understanding of UK talent markets, sourcing channels and recruitment tools
  • Experience using ATS data, analytics and insights to evolve recruitment strategy
  • A track record of delivering high‑quality candidate experience, including considered use of AI and recruitment technology
  • Credibility as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, with the confidence to influence and constructively challenge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
