SEN Support Worker – SEN School

Location: SEN SchoolStart Date: ASAPEnd Date: Until the end of the academic yearHours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30Pay: £14.25 – £16.64 per hour (dependent on experience, qualifications, and pay type)

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Support Worker to work in a Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding full-time role, supporting students with a range of complex needs and helping them to access education in a safe, nurturing environment.

The Role:

  • Supporting students aged 11-16 with a range of SEN, including learning difficulties, autism, and additional needs
  • Providing personal care support where required (full training and guidance provided)
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assisting with classroom activities and supporting learning outcomes
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN staff

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or care setting)
  • Comfortable with and committed to providing personal care
  • Patient, compassionate, and resilient
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the child workforce
