Groundworker

Rate:£19.00 - £21.00 per hour (CIS)

We are looking for experienced, heavy-civils Groundworkers to join a flagship infrastructure project in Blyth. This is a long-term opportunity on a high-profile site, perfect for local operatives looking for stability and competitive regional rates.

This project involves a mix of deep drainage, structural foundations, and large-scale hardstandings. We are looking for individuals or established pairs who pride themselves on high-quality work and a "safety-first" mindset.

• Deep Drainage: Installing large-bore adoptable sewers (S104) and managing complex trench-box excavations.

• Structural Groundworks: Setting out and pouring reinforced concrete (FRC) pads, bolt boxes, and industrial slabs.

• Site Services: Trenching for HV cable corridors and utility ducting.

• Finishing: High-spec kerbing, tactile paving, and road box construction.

• CSCS Card: Blue (Skilled Worker) preferred.

• Plant Tickets: NPORS/CPCS Forward Tipping Dumper and Ride-on Roller are highly advantageous.

• Vetting: Valid Safety Critical Medical is essential for this project.

• Experience: Proven track record in heavy civils, industrial developments, or energy infrastructure.

• Location: Must be local to Blyth, Ashington, or the surrounding South East Northumberland area (No digs provided).

• Long-Term Stability: This is ongoing work on a multi-phase infrastructure scheme.

• Competitive Pay: High hourly rates paid weekly via CIS.

• Local Work: Avoid the commute into Newcastle; work on a major project right on your doorstep in Blyth.
