Support Workers are central to Praxis Cares mission of providing quality care to individuals. Each Support Worker is part of a dedicated team that delivers high-quality, reliable support services. Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans, including assistance with domestic or social skills and personal care. Work closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programmes. Collaborate with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving situations arising from conflict or challenging behaviours using appropriate techniques and language. Ensure that medication is stored and administered in accordance with Praxis Cares Medication Policy where necessary. Be fully aware of all policies and procedures in place within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring attendance and participation in all related training. Carry out all duties of the post in accordance with Praxis expectations, regulations, and policies. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies The above-mentioned duties are not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to carry out other duties as necessary. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position. Praxis Care adheres to the AccessNI Code of Practice, a copy of which can be made available upon request. Desirable: Experience working within the health and social care field. Full valid driving license and access to own vehicle (If a disability precludes an individual from holding a drivers license, they should state how they can meet the mobility requirement of the post).
