We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of History to join a thriving secondary school in Southampton on a long-term temporary basis, starting as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a forward-thinking Humanities department that sees History as fundamental to empowering students to engage confidently in conversations and debates. The school's curriculum is designed to help students:

• Develop a deep and connected understanding of local, national, and global history.

• Cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and resilience by exploring complex historical questions and perspectives.

• Appreciate the diverse cultures, communities, and stories that have shaped our world.

• Build confidence in presenting their own interpretations while being open to challenge and debate.

As a History teacher in this inspiring environment, you'll help students master not only a rich body of historical knowledge but also the analytical and reflective skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and have experience teaching History across KS3 and KS4.

• Be passionate about developing students' curiosity and independent thinking.

• Deliver engaging lessons that connect the past to the present.

• Be available to start immediately and work on a long-term basis.
