Prospero Teaching is recruiting dedicated Mental Health Support Workers to work across Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools throughout Dorset. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in pupils' lives-supporting them to feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.

You'll play a vital role in helping young people navigate emotional, social, and mental health challenges within a supportive school environment.

The Role

You'll work closely with students, schools, and support teams to promote positive mental health and wellbeing:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group emotional wellbeing support
• Support pupils experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, or social difficulties
• Help students build coping strategies, confidence, and resilience
• Collaborate with pastoral, SEN, and safeguarding teams
• Monitor and record pupil wellbeing and progress
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing school culture

Who We're Looking For

• Experience in mental health, youth work, counselling, SEN, or support roles
• Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Confidence in handling sensitive and challenging situations
• Ability to build trusted, positive relationships with young people
• Strong communication skills and safeguarding awareness
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
