The Role
- Deliver engaging, accessible Science lessons to small classes
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
- Support students with Autism (ASC), SEMH and associated needs
- Work closely with experienced SEN staff, TAs and pastoral teams
- Create a calm, predictable classroom environment that helps students thrive
About the Students
- Secondary-aged learners with EHCPs
- Needs may include Autism, social communication difficulties, emotional regulation challenges and anxiety
- Classes are small, with high staff-to-student ratios
- Focus on progress, confidence and independence, not pressure
We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or strong UK teaching experience
- Experience with SEN, SEMH or ASD (school or alternative provision)
- A patient, consistent and positive approach
- Ability to differentiate and break learning down step-by-step
- Science specialism preferred, but adaptability is key
