Description

Join Our Team as a Motor Claims Advisor – Drive Your Career Forward! The role of a Claims Advisor is to actively monitor credit hire and repair claims and ensure they are efficiently dealt with, and to undertake a variety of tasks to support the members of the team working on credit hire files.

Key Accountabilities

  • Contacting organisations by telephone to ensure matters are progressing correctly
  • Questioning repair and hire periods as appropriate to reduce overall hire days
  • Dealing with queries from other parties
  • Managing a diary to effectively deal with all matters in a timely fashion
  • Updating Tracker by diarising records, court dates, directions, applications and orders, and general activity
  • Liaising with Courts, Counsel, Opponents, Experts, Witnesses, Insureds and brokers to progress the case
  • Following up on outstanding instructions, documents and other actions to ensure responses are received within required timescales
  • Chasing clients to ensure payments are received and dispatched within required deadlines
  • Diarising and updating CRU
  • Ensuring compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations
  • Adhering to the Keoghs Values

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Education – at least 3 GCSEs or equivalent are essential
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise workloads
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
  • Good telephone negotiation skills
  • Ability to follow work processes and procedures
  • Ability to remain calm under pressureCompetent IT skills, including Microsoft Office

Technical Knowledge to be Developed

Working Hours

35 hours per week worked 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, with 1 hour for lunch.
