The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join the team, taking a key role on a £6m fit-out project in Central London. This is a great chance to work on a flagship scheme and gain exposure within a dynamic and growing contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial aspects of a £6m fit-out project from pre-construction through to final account
- Assisting with or leading procurement of subcontract packages
- Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
- Valuations, variations, and cost reporting
- Liaising with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure commercial objectives are met
- Supporting the delivery of projects on time and within budget
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
Requirements
- Experience working as an Assistant QS or QS within the fitout market
- Previous experience on fit‑out or refurbishment projects is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of commercial processes and contract administration
- Ability to work independently on project‑based responsibilities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Degree qualified or working towards a relevant qualification (e.g., Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management)
