About Role
This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. The successful candidate will have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems, including the design of the program flow of separate pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy applications in a cloud‑hosted distributed system.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions to ensure stability, scalability, and performance.
- Identify and implement improvements to engineering practices and the delivery pipeline to increase quality and speed.
- Collaborate with a cross‑functional Agile team (engineering, product, QA, DevOps) to deliver positive business outcomes.
- Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, iterate on feedback, and deliver user‑focused solutions in a fast‑moving environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Angular, etc.), SQL, with willingness to learn others.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., git).
- Ability to collaborate with team members to create innovative solutions.
- Experience with a modern IDE (IntelliJ, VSCode) and proficiency in refactoring tools.
- Openness to discussing and improving team practices.
- Experience with test‑driven development and mocking libraries (Jest, Mockito).
- Familiarity with collaborative documentation tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Knowledge of Agile practices and execution (Scrum, Kanban).
- Desire to learn or experience AI‑based solutions.
- Eagerness to learn and grow skills and experience.
