A growing business is investing heavily in its data capabilities and is looking to bring in a Data Analyst to help shape how data is used across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to join at an early stage of a data journey, where you’ll have real ownership and the chance to make a visible impact. The environment isn’t perfect there’s a lot of data, not all of it is clean so they need someone confident enough to dig into complex datasets, spot trends, identify opportunities and help bring structure to it all.

You’ll be working closely with the Head of Data & IT, giving you strong exposure to senior decision-making, and as the function grows, there’s a clear path to step up into a more Lead role.

What’s in it for you?

  • Hybrid working – 3 days on site per week in Wigan
  • Salary up to £65K DOE
  • Greenfield environment with real ownership of data
  • Clear progression path as the team and business scales
  • Opportunity to work with modern tech including Microsoft Fabric
  • Join a small but growing team where you can make an impact

Key skills & experience

  • Strong experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Python
  • SQL
  • Power BI
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric (or similar modern data platforms)
  • Ability to work with messy or incomplete data and turn it into meaningful insight
  • Strong stakeholder communication

The role

  • Analysing high volumes of data (1M+ records daily) to uncover trends and insights
  • Identifying opportunities to improve data quality, structure and usability
  • Building and maintaining dashboards and reports in Power BI
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into data solutions
  • Supporting the development of a more scalable and efficient data environment
  • Playing a key role in shaping how data is used across the business
  • Contributing to the ongoing evolution of the data platform, including Microsoft Fabric

What makes this role stand out is the level of ownership and the opportunity to take a messy, high-volume data environment and genuinely make sense of it. If you’re someone who enjoys digging into complex problems and wants to be part of a growing team where you can progress quickly, this is well worth a look.

Please note: this role cannot offer sponsorship and is not suitable for candidates on graduate or short-term visas
