You’ll be part of a backend team tackling complex problems daily—designing, building, and scaling systems that operate across major cloud providers. The environment encourages ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the full lifecycle of backend services—from design and development to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing optimisation
- Build and maintain high-performance, scalable services using modern backend technologies
- Analyse system reliability and performance, identifying improvements and optimisations
- Contribute to architecture decisions, capacity planning, and service-level objectives (SLOs)
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate closely with engineering peers
- Work cross-functionally with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver impactful features
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years commercial experience in backend development
- Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience building or supporting data-intensive systems (databases, messaging, event-driven systems)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices
- Exposure to microservices architecture
