Junior Systems Engineer (PLC/SCADA/HMI) Stafford (Hybrid)
We are currently recruiting for a Junior Systems Engineer role delivering PLC/SCADA/HMI control system software across client projects, supporting the full lifecycle from requirements and design through commissioning and handover.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test PLC, SCADA and HMI software to meet project requirements.
- Produce supporting technical documentation and contribute to tender/estimate inputs.
- Work with multi-discipline teams and liaise with clients/contractors as needed.
- Support commissioning activities and handover deliverables.
- Report progress, risks and quality/EHS compliance to the Software Systems Manager.
Qualifications
- HNC (or higher) in an engineering discipline and 1+ years experience in a project environment.
- Hands‑on experience with industrial automation software (PLC, HMI, SCADA).
- Comfortable working to quality and safety standards in regulated environments.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
- Security/eligibility: able to pass DBS/BPSS and obtain SC clearance.
Benefits & Salary
Circa £30,000 - £35,000 plus Hybrid working (Stafford-based). Career development in controls/software engineering with varied client projects.
