Job Description
Kanadevia Inova is recruiting a Project Cost Controller to support our Thameside Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) project team. Situated at Tilbury Docks in East London, this new EfW plant is under construction and scheduled to become operational by 2028, designed to process 350,000 tonnes of waste annually.
This position plays a key part in ensuring effective financial control and project performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project costs, analyse deviations from plan, and provide accurate cost forecasts (cost to complete).
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Project Controller and key stakeholders across Head Office (Zurich) and site teams.
- Manage local project costs, including petty cash, credit cards, and project bank accounts, in coordination with regional and HQ accounting.
- Support revenue recognition and project margin control through accruals for Civil and Site Lots.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project budgets.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in cost control within construction, engineering, or project accounting environments.
- Strong knowledge of SAP (PS, SD, MM, FI modules).
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Solid understanding of project controlling, financial management, and EPC contract structures.
- Experience with Percentage-of-Completion (PoC) accounting under IFRS is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and establish effective processes in new environments.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive, organised, and solution-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
