Role Summary

Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse – Oncology Team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

Location

Primarily at the Arden Centre in Coventry, with occasional cover required at the Maple Unit in Rugby.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and management support to the Chemotherapy Suite and Oncology Outpatient Unit.
• Motivate staff, solve problems, act as a role model and implement change.
• Ensure high-quality, safe care for patients receiving systemic anti-cancer therapies, supportive treatments (blood products) and central venous access device care.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team.

Key Requirements

• Registered nurse with extensive oncology experience, particularly in systemic anti-cancer (immunotherapy and chemotherapy), supportive treatments, blood products and central venous access device management.
• Leadership and management skills, including team motivation and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Must provide an immunisation and vaccination report from a UK occupational health provider or GP.
