Registered Nurse - Cardiff Hospice

We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiff & the Vale Hospice IPU Team in Penarth.

You’ll be part of a supportive team that truly cares about you and your development. Using a patient-centred approach and evidence-based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and co-ordinate care from admission to discharge. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMCs and the Charity’s policies and guidelines. You will also provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support for patients and carers.

Job responsibilities

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 5 (aligned with AFC) £32,557 - £39,631 per annum + enhancements

Contract: Permanent, full-time and part-time available. Must be available for days, night and weekend shifts.

Based: Cardiff and the Vale Hospice

Requirements

• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and the needs of patients with complex symptoms as well as at end of life
• Forward thinking with excellent communication skills
• Welsh speaking is desirable but not essential
