Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Glasgow – Edinburgh Corridor | Salary: £42,000 | Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm | No call‑out | Permanent Position

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to cover a portfolio of retail sites and nursery locations between Glasgow and Edinburgh. This role involves carrying out electrical planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. The position is mobile, travelling between locations across the central belt.

Responsibilities

• Electrical PPM and reactive maintenance
• Fault finding and repairs to electrical systems
• General building maintenance tasks
• Minor fabric repairs and upkeep
• Basic plumbing works (taps, toilets, minor leaks)
• Maintaining accurate job reports and service records
• Working closely with site teams and management
• Ensuring all works meet safety and compliance standards

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) preferred
• Experience within commercial, retail or facilities maintenance
• Multi‑skilled maintenance background desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Able to work independently across multiple sites
