Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire & neighbouring areas (Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Greater London), also recruiting across Kent, Bristol, Plymouth & Exeter, plus an Installation Engineer in Manchester
Salary: £36,000 basic + bonus structure, overtime & company benefits

About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the face of the business—delivering exceptional on-site maintenance, repairs, and technical support for industry-leading commercial laundry equipment. You will work closely with customers and distributor technicians to diagnose faults, carry out preventative servicing, and minimise downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to carry out repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults efficiently
- Achieve high first-time fix rates
- Maintain accurate service records and parts usage logs
- Ensure your van stock is well organised and maintained
- Provide remote technical support when required
- Contribute to continuous improvement, training materials, and product feedback
What We’re Looking For
- White Goods Experience (ideal): Domestic or commercial appliance background
- Electrical/Mechanical Skills: City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or 2+ years’ field experience
- Technical Ability: Confident with schematics, diagnostics, and fault finding
- Gas Qualifications (desirable): Support available for Gas Safe if not held
- Strong Communication Skills and customer-focused approach
- Flexible to travel across the region
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
