This is a permanent back shift role, offering a consistent routine without nights or weekends – ideal for someone who prefers later starts and a structured working pattern.
The role is mechanically biased, focusing on keeping production machinery running efficiently, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently
- Support breakdown response to minimise downtime
- Work on a variety of equipment including conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, and general plant machinery
- Assist with basic electrical fault finding where required
- Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability projects
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical maintenance background within manufacturing or production
- Multi‑skilled mindset with basic electrical fault‑finding ability
- Confident using a multi‑meter and working safely around electrical systems
- Able to identify key electrical components (contactors, relays, inverters, etc.)
- A practical, common‑sense approach to maintenance
- Someone reliable, steady, and happy working in a hands‑on role
- Not required to be electrically qualified, but must be competent and safe when working with and around electrical systems
Compensation and Benefits
- £46,000 salary
- Monday to Friday permanent back shift (2pm – 10pm)
- No weekends or night shifts
- Stable and supportive working environment
