WearenowlookingforanexperiencedMechanicalProjectManagertojoinMarchaspartofthedeliveryteamontheSCPatSellafieldandotherprojectsastheymature.ThispositionwilleventuallyprogresstotakeoverfromthePrincipalProjectManager.
AstheMechanicalProjectManager,youwillhavearesponsibilitytoassistthePrincipalprojectmanagerandseniorengineerintheprocurementanddeliveryoftheMechanicalPackages,coordinatingwiththeclient,contractors,suppliersandotherstakeholderstoensuresuccessfuldelivery.ThepositionwillbefulltimeandmostlysitebasedaspartoftheMarchdeliveryteamwithsomeoff-sitemeetingswhenrequired.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Sub-Projectmanagementplanningandengineering;labour,materials,costcontrolandsub-contractresourcemanagement
- Produceriskassessmentsandmethodstatements(RAMS)andotherQHSEdocumentation
- Managingtheproductionofthesub-contractorsITP’sandICL’sinconjunctionwiththeQAManagersrequirements
- Identifying,assessing,negotiatingwithandmanagingsuppliersandsub-contractors
- ManagingtheproductionofRFI’sensuringthecorrectselectionandprocurementofequipment
- Attendingsiteteammeetingsandworkshopsasrequired,implementingCompensationEventsandproducingearlywarnings

- SupplychainSiteSupervisorsandsiteteam
Workingcloselywith:-
- TheQualityManagerandteamtoensuretheresolvingandclosingoutofSnagsandDefects
- TheQuantitySurveyor,DocumentController,PrincipalContractorandothertrades
- Communicatingandco-ordinatingwiththeHealthandSafetymanagerandtheADTDesignteam.
- TheprojectPlannertoensureaccurateplanning,forecastingandreportingcontractperformance
Skills,Experiences&Qualifications:
- EducatedtoHNCLevel(orequivalent)inaMechanical/BuildingServicesEngineeringdiscipline–considerationwillbegivenforthosewithequivalentindustryexperience.
- HaveexperienceinusingMSofficesoftware.
- YouwillalsoneedtoholdbothaSMSTSandCSCScard.
- ExperienceworkingwithinanuclearorhighlyregulatedenvironmentP4pass&SCclearance(desirable)butNotEssential.
