Reporting to the UK Service Manager, this is a national position supporting customers with installation, maintenance, and technical service on their high-performance machinery.

Field Service Engineer Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machine tools both electrically and mechanically
  • Install, commission, and formally hand over new CNC equipment at customer sites
  • Deliver operator training covering machine use and routine maintenance
  • Provide ongoing after-sales, technical, and application support to customers
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance as well as reactive breakdown support
  • Feedback on technical findings and service insights to internal departments and the factory
  • Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers to ensure high service standards

Field Service Engineer Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience working as a Field Service Engineer
  • In-depth technical expertise across: Electrical and electronic systems, Mechanical engineering principles, Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • HND qualification or equivalent time-served engineering background
  • Previous experience within machine tools or metal-forming equipment environments

Package and Benefits

  • Salary up to £40,000 (with allowances and overtime, the engineer will earn £50,000)
