A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Electrical Engineer for a company in the Cornwall area. With no day ever being the same the role offers an opportunity to work with a leading manufacturing company and offers career development within a first‑class organisation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver low‑voltage electrical design and oversee installation of solar PV systems
- Carry out both scheduled and emergency maintenance across renewable energy assets
- Monitor and review system performance on a rotating schedule, including weekend coverage
- Troubleshoot faults efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime
- Assess operational data to identify performance improvements
- Produce clear and accurate technical documentation and reports
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Recognised electrical qualifications (City & Guilds 2365, 2391, and BS7671 18th Edition or equivalent)
- At least 5 years’ hands‑on experience within the electrical or renewable energy sector
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving capabilities
- Detail‑oriented with a structured, process‑driven mindset
- Effective communication and time‑management skills
- Proficient in basic IT and reporting tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel nationwide and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
