Salary: £70,000–£85,000 base, with flexibility for exceptional experience
A regulated life sciences organisation is seeking a Business Systems professional to take ownership of its ERP and finance systems within a global pharmaceutical supply chain environment.
This is a hands‑on, operational role focused on the day‑to‑day support and stability of core systems, rather than a large‑scale transformation programme. The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping critical applications running smoothly, managing controlled change, and ensuring ongoing compliance and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day‑to‑day operational support of the ERP system across Finance and Supply Chain
- Manage user support and incident resolution via a ticketing or service board process
- Troubleshoot issues directly as system administrator and coordinate third‑line support with external vendors where required
- Manage change requests including intake, prioritisation, impact assessment, backlog management and release planning
- Track work items and releases using tools such as Azure DevOps or equivalent
- Execute controlled delivery activities across assess, design, build, test and deploy phases
- Support computer systems validation activities in line with internal SOPs for GxP‑regulated systems
- Maintain audit readiness and documentation for validated SaaS systems
- Act as a bridge between business users and technical delivery, working closely with Finance and Supply Chain stakeholders
- Maintain awareness of integrated finance applications such as expenses management, procurement or financial planning tools
Candidate Profile
- Experience supporting or owning an ERP or business systems environment in a hands‑on run role
- Background in pharmaceutical, biotech or life sciences environments preferred
- Working knowledge of computer systems validation and change control in GxP‑regulated settings
- Comfortable managing validated SaaS or COTS enterprise systems with strong documentation discipline
- Experience managing change backlogs and releases using tools such as Azure DevOps or similar
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work closely with non‑technical business users
- Experience coordinating with third‑party support or vendor partners
- Pragmatic, service‑focused and comfortable balancing multiple priorities
What’s on Offer
- Permanent position within a growing life sciences organisation
- Salary guidance of £70,000–£50,000, with flexibility for strong experience
- Hybrid working with regular London office presence
If you are an ERP or Business Systems professional looking for an operationally critical role in a regulated environment, this could be an excellent next step.
