Test Equipment Design Support Engineer
As a Test Equipment Design Support Engineer, you will act as the interface between design and manufacturing teams, working alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and assistance throughout the product lifecycle.
Job Details
- Pay: £65 per hour via Umbrella
- Location: Bolton
- Contract: 6 months (possible extension)
- IR35 Status: Inside
- Security Clearance: BPSS required, may need further clearance
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience)
- Experience designing product/systems or providing support to designs through manufacturing
- Proven experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
- Digital and Analogue electronics
- Power Electronics
- RF & Antenna
- Interconnects
- Safety Electronics
- Test Systems
- Schematic design
- PCB Design
- Adherence to BS EN Standards
- Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong written engineering documentation skills
- Experience working within a multi‑disciplinary team
- Ability to work autonomously and lead delivery of assignments
- Experience supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues (advantageous but not essential)
- Investigative skills for root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Record of on‑time delivery
Responsibilities
You will prepare bids, control costs, deliver solutions, and manage discreet work packages. You will engage with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of outputs and investigate design‑related issues to propose robust corrective actions.
