As an integral member of a new Medical Staffing team, the Medical Staffing Assistant Business Partner will provide complex advice and guidance and use a coaching approach to support day‑to‑day people issues related to medical staffing; in particular on matters relating to recruitment, management queries and casework.
They will also provide clear and consistent advice on national terms and conditions of service (Medical and Dental and Agenda for Change), and policy and processes, ensuring fair application.
They will support the management of employee relations matters through casework and provide advice to managers at all levels of the Trust, ensuring the implementation of an inclusive and restorative culture, in line with our Values.
The post holder will also work on projects in relation to Medical Staffing across the Trust, using innovation and forward‑thinking solutions to embed cultural and sustained change.
They will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the Medical Staffing Advisor, allocating work and providing advice and guidance as required.
Support the Medical Staffing Business Partner in the delivery of an effective employee relations service, policy implementation and governance function.
Support and guide the Medical Staffing Advisor with issues relating to the end-to-end recruitment process for Medical Staffing posts; providing specialist support and guidance in relation to complex or sensitive issues.
Provide consistent, complex and sensitive advice and recommendations in relation to the management of the full range of employee relations issues.
Advise managers on the people implications of their decisions, providing relevant information to support their decision making and risk identification.
Support the delivery of the overall People Services Strategy through corporate project work.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of People Management policies, procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the People Services function.
Provide the Medical Staffing Business Partner with data on case management, sickness absence and development metrics; identifying and escalating areas of concern.
Produce effective guidance and tool kits for managers and design and deliver training packages to support the implementation of People Management policies and procedures.
