Our client, a leading organisation within a high-performance distribution environment, is seeking an experienced and driven Distribution Centre Operations Manager to lead and optimise warehouse operations.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of goods, while driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and people.

The Role

As Distribution Centre Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of warehouse operations, leading a team of supervisors and ensuring performance, safety, and quality standards are consistently achieved. You'll play a key role in shaping operational strategy, managing budgets, and delivering cost-effective, high-efficiency solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Warehouse Supervisors and wider operational staff
• Oversee all warehouse activities including goods receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch
• Drive operational efficiency through continuous improvement of systems and processes
• Manage warehouse planning to meet fluctuating business demands
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
• Monitor KPIs, budgets, and operational performance, implementing corrective actions where required
• Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies
• Oversee facility maintenance, equipment performance, and investment planning
• Lead training, recruitment, and performance management processes
