BAM UK & Ireland’s Infrastructure Segment are currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth and we are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to assist the Engineer in managing the technical compliance of the project to the design specification in order to fulfil the assigned project (or section) safely, on time and to the required quality. Due to the site being a high-security military naval base, additional security checks will be required a BPSS level of security clearance is necessary. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and have been a UK residence for the last 5 years can be considered for this role. Making Possible As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the following: Assist in establishing effective systems to record work completed updating the Project Quality Plan accordingly. To assist in managing systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity. Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc. Assist in providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered. To be aware of the provisions of the Kier Safety, Health, and Environmental Management System and to assist in its implementation to ensure a safe working environment. Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work. A degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable one or more of: BSc, BA, BEng, Meng, Eng, Tech, MICE, TIStructE, LCIBSE, LCIBSEEng Tech, Completion of Higher Apprenticeship. Familiar in Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for Setting Out & Survey Awareness of commercial processes. Familiar with Quality Management System and familiar in writing RAMS.
