Location: Newcastle
Salary: Up to £80,000 + Car + Full Package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a growing construction team operating across the Newcastle region. This is a site‑based role, taking ownership of day‑to‑day operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily on‑site activities
- Manage subcontractors and site teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Track progress against programme and key milestones
- Maintain strict compliance with health & safety legislation
- Conduct regular site inspections and uphold quality standards
- Oversee site logistics, materials, and resource planning
- Build strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the wider project team
- Identify and resolve on‑site issues proactively
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Champion a positive safety culture across the site
- Review and manage RAMS, inductions, and workforce compliance
- Carry out site audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction sector
- Strong understanding of construction processes and site operations
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams
- Excellent organisation, communication, and time‑management abilities
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving and attention to detail
Qualifications
- SMSTS – Essential
- CSCS Card – Preferred
- Relevant construction qualifications – Advantageous
- Experience in Living Space, Retail, or Commercial projects – Beneficial
