Role: Site Manager

Location: Newcastle

Salary: Up to £80,000 + Car + Full Package


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a growing construction team operating across the Newcastle region. This is a site‑based role, taking ownership of day‑to‑day operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily on‑site activities
  • Manage subcontractors and site teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Track progress against programme and key milestones
  • Maintain strict compliance with health & safety legislation
  • Conduct regular site inspections and uphold quality standards
  • Oversee site logistics, materials, and resource planning
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the wider project team
  • Identify and resolve on‑site issues proactively


Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a positive safety culture across the site
  • Review and manage RAMS, inductions, and workforce compliance
  • Carry out site audits, inspections, and incident investigations
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction sector
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and site operations
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and time‑management abilities
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and attention to detail


Qualifications

  • SMSTS – Essential
  • CSCS Card – Preferred
  • Relevant construction qualifications – Advantageous
  • Experience in Living Space, Retail, or Commercial projects – Beneficial
