Exciting opportunity to join a leading international metals company in South Yorkshire on a 6-12 month contract.



About the Role



This is a newly created role for a Compliance Manager to support the international trading operations.



Responsibilities



  • Taking full accountability for customs and international trade compliance
  • Ensuring correct application of incoterms
  • Reviewing and approving export and import documentation
  • Liaising with customs brokers
  • Ensuring correct customs classifications of goods
  • Maintaining compliance with UK customs regulations and applicable international trade laws
  • Supporting the business in understanding customs and tax implications of trading models
  • Liaising with Finance to ensure overseas tax and related trade reporting requirements are identified and appropriately addressed


Experience and Qualifications



The successful candidate will be a specialist in customs and international trade compliance and be the subject matter expert within the business.

Recognised customs or international trade qualification ( desirable )


You will also have a good working knowledge of incoterms, commodity codes and import/export documentation.
