About the Role
This is a newly created role for a Compliance Manager to support the international trading operations.
Responsibilities
- Taking full accountability for customs and international trade compliance
- Ensuring correct application of incoterms
- Reviewing and approving export and import documentation
- Liaising with customs brokers
- Ensuring correct customs classifications of goods
- Maintaining compliance with UK customs regulations and applicable international trade laws
- Supporting the business in understanding customs and tax implications of trading models
- Liaising with Finance to ensure overseas tax and related trade reporting requirements are identified and appropriately addressed
Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a specialist in customs and international trade compliance and be the subject matter expert within the business.
Recognised customs or international trade qualification ( desirable )
You will also have a good working knowledge of incoterms, commodity codes and import/export documentation.
