Associate / Senior Associate – Corporate (3+ PQE) | Nottingham

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate to join a highly regarded Corporate team based in Nottingham. This role offers exposure to a broad mix of high-quality work, including private equity and M&A transactions, with the chance to collaborate on complex, high-value deals across a national platform.

You’ll work closely with experienced deal leaders while also supporting and mentoring junior colleagues, making this an ideal step for someone ready to take on greater responsibility and progress their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.

The Team

You’ll be joining a thriving national Corporate, recognised for its strength in advising on a full spectrum of corporate matters across the UK. The team is ranked as a Top Legal 500 firm in the East Midlands, with national recognition for excellence in Company & Commercial and Banking & Finance work.

The Nottingham office offers a collaborative and forward-thinking culture, where lawyers are encouraged to take ownership of their work and contribute to the continued growth of the practice. The team advises a diverse client base across sectors including manufacturing, retail, recruitment, and education, delivering commercially focused, pragmatic solutions.

The Role

• Advising on M&A transactions, private equity deals, and corporate structuring
• Supporting cross-border transactions, investments, and capital markets work
• Managing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
• Supervising and mentoring junior team members
• Collaborating with colleagues across the national corporate network

The Candidate

• Qualified solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE in corporate law
• Strong technical grounding in M&A and general corporate matters
• Confident, personable, and commercially aware
• Experience supervising junior lawyers or a readiness to step into that role
• Interest in marketing and business development, with a desire to build a professional network
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
