Based in Surrey (commutable from Reading, Wokingham, and Bracknell), this is an ideal role for science teachers looking to move into SEN or SEN teachers with some experience teaching science.

About the role
You’ll be teaching Science to small groups of students with autism in a structured, supportive environment designed to help them thrive.
Many pupils have had disrupted experiences in education, so your role will focus on rebuilding confidence, re-engaging learners, and supporting meaningful progress both academically and personally.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver engaging, personalised Science lessons
- Create a calm, structured classroom environment
- Adapt teaching to suit individual needs and learning styles
- Track progress across academic and personal development
- Work closely with therapists, support staff, and families
- Contribute to a flexible curriculum including practical and outdoor learning
What we’re looking for
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Science
- Experience in SEND/ASC (or a strong interest in developing in this area)
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
